Moving the website this weekend

So, I'm moving this blog this weekend!!!  If there seems to be any technical glitches or you can't find my page, look for me over at See Me Save on Facebook and I'll keep you updated and share the new site with you.  I'm very nervous about this change and hoping all my info slides right on over to the new website no problem.  I've never done this before and I'm just learning as I go along.

It might be quiet here for a day or 2 while I get everything set up.  Hope to see you all on the new site very soon!

Freebies from P&G

It's a new quarter, so that means you can sign up for freebies and coupons from Proctor & Gamble.  Just go HERE to request yours.  If you already have an account just sign in and select the items you want.  If you are a new member, fill out your mailing info and which of the freeibes and coupons you want.  My selection wasn't as good this time (just shampoo and a laundry detergent coupon, normally I get a fairly good size box of items), but I'll be curious to hear what you guys are getting!

NCAA Sweatshirts just $14 each!

Finish Line is having a 50% off sale on NCAA Sweatshirts.  These are normally $35, but down to $17.50 right now.  Use promo code NEWKICKS and you'll save an additional 20%...so $14!  Looks like shipping is $7.99.  They have pages and pages of sweatshirts, so find your local team and grab it.

If you are planning to get this deal, make sure you shop through Ebates to earn an additional 5% cash back.  If this is your first time shopping through ebates, you will also get a $5 sign up bonus.  This is a legitimate site and I have received checks from them before...next checks are due to come out in just a few weeks!

Thanks Coupongal!

Mega Swagbucks today!

It's Friday and that means it's Mega Swagbucks! Today your chances of winning higher amounts of Swagbucks is higher than any other day of the week. It's not uncommon to win 30 - 40 Swagbucks in one search on Fridays.

Swagbucks is a search site...I use it to search for everything (just like Google or Bing) and you earn points towards prizes...this holiday season I redeemed Swagbacks for $40 in Target and $20 in Amazon gift cards and there are many other gift cards and items you can earn points towards. I just started using Swagbucks in August, so to earn $60+ in less than 4 months isn't bad at all....especially when I am doing something I would have done anyway.

Go HERE for all the details!

Freebie Friday!

I haven't shared Freebies in a while...I need to get back to that!  I miss getting a mailbox full of free stuff and coupons!  So, here we go...a few freebies for today.

Target Clearance

Target has some serious clearance going on now.  Many toys are 50% off...I'm still holding out for the 75 - 90% off.  There are some really great deals to be had though.

Tonight I went in more for the household items that are on clearance.  Here is what I got below.
Here is what $4.22 got me tonight.

1 over the door hanger - $2.50
1 Glade Decorative Glass Candle - $1.48 ($1/1 SS 12/5)
3 Glade Candles - $1.48 each ($3/3 coupon that I got from a tear pad in Walgreens around Christmas, there are also other coupons out there...$1/2 SS 12/5)
3 Tide Stain Release - $2.14 each ($3/1 P&G Sampler, $1/1 P&G Everyday Savings Book, $1/1 P&G 12/26)
1 Tide Travel Size - $.97 (found in the sample section)

I had a $5 Gift Card from a previous purchase to use tonight too.  Grand Total before discounts and coupons $24.22...just $4.22 out of pocket!!!

Make sure when you do your Target shopping to check the end caps of the aisles and definitely check the toy area if you have any kids that you will be buying for later this year.  Target does their toy sales in January and July...so a perfect time to grab up some birthday or Christmas gifts for the coming year.

Michelle

Bath & Body...awesome savings!

So, I went in to Bath & Body Works to get my freebie tonight and was surprised by all the sale items.  I might have to go back to do some birthday/Christmas shopping for this coming year.  Many of their lotions and soaps are 50 - 75% off!  Here is what I go tonight for just $2.72!

If you got in on the LUV BBW Club in November (deal is no longer available) you should have received your card by now.  You can go in any Thursday of the month and you will get something free every month (they set the freebies).  I was pleasantly surprised tonight when I got my freebie.  I was thinking we might get a little travel size lotion or pocket bac, but it was more!  I was able to get one of the full size lotions and a pocket bac and the holder for my January Freebie.

Make sure you print off this coupon HERE and you can get a free travel size item of your choice with any purchase.  I chose to grab another of the soaps for $2.50 and I got the lotion for free!

Menu Planning Thursday

For me it's easier to plan my menu the day after the ad comes out and I’ve had a chance to review and get my coupons together. This will be a post you can expect at See Me Save every Thursday afternoon. We try to shop mainly from the ad (with the exception of any produce or anything else we may need for the upcoming week). I plan my menu around what is in our stockpile and we add to the stockpile based on what is on sale for the week that matches up with my coupons.

If I have the recipe easily accessible for the dinners I will link up to that so you can grab it too.  So, here we go with our menu plan for the week.

Sunday - Turkey Pot Pie we will use chicken instead of turkey for this recipe since it’s what we have on hand this week. My family loves this dish and it’s super easy to make!

Monday - Out to dinner for my son's 13th Birthday!!!

Tuesday - 5 minute Vegetarian Chili with crackers

Wednesday - Broccoli and Cheese Soup with french bread

Thursday - Leftovers

Friday - Biscuits and Gravy and eggs

Saturday - Chicken Tetrazini and vegetable mix

Did you sign up for the Bath & Body Works LUV CLUB back in November?  If you did, you should have gotten your Membership Card in the mail by now (mine came last week).  Tomorrow is the first Thursday we can go in to get our freebie.  We have no idea what it will be, but I'm hoping to make it out to the mall tomorrow, so if I do I'll let you know what it is.  Just remember you have to go in on a Thursday during the month to grab it.  And if you don't make it in one month you just forfeit that month.

New Years Resolutions

eloanadvisor.com

I'm a couple days behind posting my Happy New Year post, but today was the day we really got back in to the swing of things at my house since the kids just went back to school.  So it's a new year and that means New Years Resolution time!  I always have high hopes that I will stick with my resolutions and then come the 2nd or 3rd week I've forgetten all about them.  Not this year.  I have a plan and I'm going to stick to it.  I think for me it's really going to help having a written plan of how I'm going to reach my goals for the year.  And then I will remember that I'm sharing my goals with you....I have to make sure I stick with them now.  :)

So, here is a list of my goals, personally and blogally.  Okay, that's totally not a word, but you know what I'm trying to say ~ I hope.

Personally
  • Organize in my house.  There are so many areas in the house I'd like to do something different with and I just don't know where to start.  So, I'm going room by room and organizing.  I've started with our bedroom and will move on from there.
  • Along with my organizing comes decluttering.  This is something "fun" we can do together if you'd like.  :)  I half started a Decluttering Challenge I found out about on another blog ~ Amy's Finer Things ~ last year.  I did get rid of quite a bit, but I'm really going to track it this year and probably take a few pictures to share before I head to Goodwill or the trash if that's where it belongs.  I'd love to hear if you're interested in participating in this resolution with me.
  • And along the getting my house in order resolutions above, I'm also setting up a cleaning schedule for the house.  Don't get me wrong...I cleaned my house before, but I'd try to cram cleaning the entire house all in to one day a week and instead I will be spreading it out during the week.  Here's my plan ~ Monday will be the bedrooms, Tuesday is the living room, Wednesday is the dining room, Thursday is the kitchen, Friday is the bathroom and with 5 of us in this house every day is laundry day....FUN!  But really, I am excited...or as excited as I can be...about my new cleaning schedule.
  • Reading the Bible all the way through.  I was so excited about the Bible my husband's Granny gave me for Christmas this year.  I had mentioned to her over Thanksgiving that I would love to read the Bible all the way through at some point, but it seemed so overwhelming.  She was listening because she got me The Daily Bible® and it has about 6 pages of reading for me each day.  It takes you through the entire Bible in 1 year.  I've been surprised already by the first few days of reading.  I've been going to church all my life, but I'm learning all kinds of new things in this book.
  • At least 1 night out each month with my husband.  We've always tried to make sure we do this, but our kid's schedules have been so busy lately and we haven't had as much time.  I've already got us lined out for 1 night this month and for Christmas I got him a night out a comedy club and a night's stay in Kansas City through Groupon, which saved a ton of money.  Oh and I grabbed a $25 gift card for dinner for free by using my points at MyPoints.  We can't wait to use our Kansas City gift certificates!
  • Family Night/Day at least every other week.  We'll put it on the calendar and everyone will clear their schedules for that night.  We might have a game night or watch a movie or have a picnic at the park.  Whatever we do, I know we'll have fun!
Blogging Goals
  • First and foremost, I have to launch the new website.  I'm such a creature of habit, I'm having a hard time giving up the familiarity of this website.  I know I will get used to the new one, but this is my "baby".  So, hopefully by the first of next week I will launch the new site.  Just keep in mind, it's a work in progress...I'll get it just the way I want.  It's already better than what we have here, I just hate the unknown.
  • I'd like to write more focused articles for you.  I have a few regular posts that you can expect from me in the new year.  Munchy Monday (thanks to my friend Nikki, I grabbed her idea...I just love that name).  On Monday's you will get a new recipe from me that is either my own or one that I have found through friends, family, the internet...I love trying new recipes and thought you might too.  You can expect a Freebie Friday post and I'll share all the freebies I found throughout the week.  You'll still see some throughout the week that are time sensitive, but there will be a full list on Friday's for sure.  You'll still get my monthly check up on the budget and around the same time you'll see how I did on the decluttering for the month as well.  And finally I will be sharing our menu plan for the upcoming week.  I plan our menu on Wednesday after I see the Dillons ad, so this will probably be a Thursday post.
  • Writing before the day I plan to post things.  I've kind of been blogging by the seat of my pants.  I'd really like to write some of my posts out a few days before I post them.  That means I need a plan of what I'm going to write about...so there's another resolution!
I think I better stop there.  How about you?  Do you set New Years Resolutions for yourself?

Mindfield Online Surveys

MindField Internet Panels is again accepting applications to their online survey panel.  This is one of several survey companies I like to complete surveys with...I love doing online surveys for a little extra cash.  I just completed a 3 month online survey with MindField this past week that earned me $25...all I had to do was keep track of some purchases and send the information to them.  Very easy and probably took me a total of 20 minutes total to enter my info over those 3 months.

Another thing I love about online surveys are product samples.  This is another company that will send out full size products for you to try. You will try them and then complete the survey online.  We've done several that have included our entire family.  Again, something that is very simple to complete and doesn't take much time.

Most surveys will earn you a couple of bucks and not every survey they send you will you qualify for.  For this particular company you can cash out at $5.  Just go HERE to find out about the company and sign up.

Does your New Years Resolution include a plan to get out of debt or get your finances in order?  There is a great website that I love to use to keep track of my finances.  It's Mint.com and I love it!  You can set up all of your accounts through their secure site and it will track everything for you.  It's like having your own personal banker 24/7!  Very easy to use and free!
