With the school year just around the corner I thought I'd share something I can't live without once our schedules get crazy. It's the Cozi calendar and it's FREE! What I love about Cozi is I can keep track of everyone's schedule in one place and since it's online I can access it from my phone! Activities are color coded to each person and at a quick glance I know who has to do what. I also love that I can set up reminders to be sent to either my email or my phone and I can remind multiple people of the same event. So, if my son has an appointment I will have a reminder sent to my husband, my son and myself to remind us of the appointment...husband will know to take the time off work, I won't book anything else and son will know to expect. It's GREAT!
I also like that when I need to schedule follow up appointments at the dentist or doctor's office I can just look at the website on my phone and see if we're booked already. I used to hate digging through my purse looking for my pocket calendar, but I always know where my phone is.
Another feature I love about Cozi is the shopping list. I have many different shopping lists, but the one we use the most is our grocery list. I can type the list and send it by text or email to my husband if I need him to run out for a few things or I can send it to my own phone for myself. Since I can make multiple lists I make lists throughout the year of things my kids say they'd like to have. That way when their birthday or Christmas comes around and I'm trying to figure out what to buy them I have some good ideas. I don't know about anyone else, but my 12 year old is getting to the point of when we ask what he wants he doesn't have a whole lot of ideas off the top of his head....this helped me a lot last year. Now my 2 & 4 year old want everything they see on TV, so I put many ideas down on their list and then can pick and choose from the list.
