I thought it would be fun to actually see in black and white what we spend and save in a month. I have a family of 5...3 growing kids and 1 still in diapers....UGH! I'm so ready for that diapers expense to be gone! So, at the end/beginning of each month I will be sharing our spending and savings with you all....probably more than anything to keep myself accountable and keep that budget as low as possible.
Each week I have a set amount to spend and we're sticking to it for the most part. My problem is sending my husband out for a few things and he comes back with a few extras and he doesn't really do the coupon thing, but he's happy I do. :)
Here are our totals for the month. Let's see them drop each month!
- August Household Spending - $508.52 (that's everything and for August is included aroundn $40 in school supplies!)
- August Household Savings - $628.45
- Rebates and Surveys moeny coming in this month - $18.30
- Rebates Submitted (but not received yet) this month - $19.96
One of my favorite parts of seeing this budget...we saved MORE than we spent! What a great feeling! Let's see if I can do even better next month and get closer to that $400 I'm working so hard for.
