I shop at Target almost every week...not a huge shopping trip, but I'm always on the lookout for clearance any free or nearly free items there. I've noticed the last few times I've had trouble with them using the correct amount on my coupons. For example, this week I had a coupon for $2 off 2 Glade jar candles. They were on clearance for $1.48 each. Since I was buying 2, the amount would have been over $2, so it should take the full $2 off for the coupon. But, when they rang me up it was ringing the coupons up at $1.48 (the price of just one).
When I asked the cashier about it (very nicely I might add) she said it wasn't here fault and she had no idea why it was doing that. She wanted to just have me pay the amount listed. I asked if she could hold my transaction and let me go to customer service to have it checked out. They really didn't know why it was happening either. But, that cashier adjusted the coupons for me and made sure I wasn't overpaying.
Some people may think why bother with $.42. I did use 3 of these coupons, so it amounted to $1.56 and really every penny counts to me. Also, when they go to turn those coupons in they are going to get the full $2, plus the 8 cent handling fee and to me that's just not right. So, I'll watch them every time I go in.
What I was getting at though is there is a problem with Target NATIONWIDE. This is happening everywhere and Target says they are trying to fix the problem. You can read all about HERE. Thanks Totally Target!
