I'm Michelle and I write See Me Save. I'm a local (Topeka) girl and have been writing this blog for several months now. I hope you find some useful information here. Here is what I try to share with readers:
- Store matchups each week. I look at the weekly ad and then match up with coupons and tell you where to find your coupons. I try every week to cover Dillons, Walgreens, CVS and Target. Occasionally you'll see matchups for Dollar General and other stores as well.
- Online deals...I have several daily deal sites I check each day and I share the very best ones I see.
- Basically, if I find something that sounds like a good deal to me, you're going to hear about it. I share all kinds of money saving secrets that I have found since starting out. I will say, I'm still learning. I'm no where near knowing all there is to know, but are we ever?
I think back on that now and want to cry. Okay, maybe not cry, but I do wonder what the heck we were thinking. I had used coupons off and on through the years, but most of the time they would end up in our junk drawer only for me to find them after they'd expired. After realizing how much we were spending in a month on our groceries and household items I knew there had to be a better way.
I told my husband I was going to cut our grocery/household bill in half. He laughed. I knew then I was going to prove him wrong. He was so surprised that first month I showed him I had shaved over $300 off our bill for the month and it was all from using coupons and shopping the sales. After that we rarely went back to the warehouse store. We were going so little that we gave our membership up a few months ago and I don't miss it at all. Especially not now...we've more than halved our grocery/household budget!
I started telling my friends and family how much we were saving and they wanted to know more...so the blog was "born" and here we are.
I hope you can find some useful information here to help you and your family shrink your grocery bill. If you ever have any questions at all, please feel free to email me or comment on a post here or post something on Facebook. So glad to have you join us!
Michelle
