A couple of free things to do this weekend

There are some fun things to do this weekend in Topeka.  Here are a few that I have on my list of things I hope to do.  :)

  • The Holiday Shop Till You Drop is at the Expocentre at the Ag Hall from 9-5 Saturday.  There will be several vendors there...including 2 from our drawings last week....Homespun Crafts and Partylite!  Admission is free and there's sure to be lots of fun!
  • Garfield Community Center is holding their 29th Annual Children's Christmas Shopping Spree from 9-3 Saturday.  My kids love this event.  I've taken my oldest for years now and he always gets all his shopping done for family.  What I love about this event is nothing is more than $10, so definitely affordable for the little kids.  They usually have a booth set up where they can paint something too and that's always a favorite for my kids.  Admission is free for kids 12 and under, people over 12 will pay $1 admission.
  • Topeka Bible Church is putting on their Annual Drive In Christmas Light Show.  We've gone the last few years and the kids (and us adults too) love it!  It doesn't last very long (15 minutes) and they are very efficient at getting the cars in and out...I'm always amazed at that!
  • TARC has their Winter Wonderland running out at Lake Shawnee now too.  This is an annual must see too!  I think there is a suggested donation, but I'm not sure what it is.  I was thinking around $7 per vehicle...but I'm not positive on that.  Definitely something fun to see!  This running nightly through the end of the year.
Have a great weekend!

Michelle
