So I was in Dillons really quick last night for a gallon of milk. I am like a magnet to the clearance section and of course had to stop off in there quick and found $1.28 toothpaste. And then for some reason I went down the frozen aisle and found $.99 Toaster Strudels. And of course I had left my coupons out in my car. I didn't really feel like running back out there and then sorting through coupons at 9:00 at night, so I decided to return today, with my
BOX of coupons. Here is what I got for $2.17!
And here is how I got the savings.
- 4 Toaster Strudels for $.99 each - I used 2 $.50/2 coupons (doubles to $1 each) and 2 loadable coupons that I found HERE, making these just $.25 each
- 2 Pillsbury Savorings for $1.99 each - I used 2 $1/1 coupons and 1 $1/1 loadable coupon that I found HERE, making these just $.50 each
- Colgate toothpaste $1.28 - I used 1 $.75/1 (doubles to $1), normally I would not pay for toothpaste, but my coupon was going to expire, so I did pay $.28 and I had a $1 coupon from Dillons to use from last week and I didn't know if I'd hit $1 at checkout, so I wanted a filler item. If you follow here long enough, you'll realize you never need to pay for toothpaste. :)
- 2 Horizon Organic Milks $1 each - I had 2 $1/1 coupons that I printed off a few weeks ago. Makes them free.
So, there you have it. I paid $2.17 for everything above after tax and I saved $10.78! I know this isn't really a deal you can replicate this week (well there are still a few of each of these items at the 10th & Gage Dillons today), but I was just wanting to show you why it's a good idea to always carry your coupons with you. I'll have your Dillons matchups later today....it's a GREAT ad this week!
