Coupon Organization

When speaking with the MOPS group yesterday I tried to explain my organization method and I thought it might be easier to show you online rather than trying to show you from a distance.  Here is how I organize my coupons.  There are so many ways to do it and I've tried a few. Personally, I like having a Coupon Box. For me it's easier to have all my coupons clipped and organized by category. You can read all about how I organize my coupons HERE. I know others that prefer to use a binder and organize with baseball card holders. For me, I don't like trying to cram my coupons in those little plastic sleeves (but I know others like that, so whatever works).

In addition to keeping a Coupon Box, I also have a binder to store things I don't want to carry to the store with me. Below you'll find what I keep in my binder at home.

Rebate Forms - I take a copy of the rebates I send off for and slide them in to a plastic sleeve. I also keep a spreadsheet on my computer with my monthly spending and have a section on there to keep track of my rebates. Once I receive the rebate it's highlighted and moved to the money received column. This way I know when I sent off for it and when to expect it.

Extra coupons - I get 2 Sunday papers and then my Grandma gives me her coupons as well. I don't clip every single coupon from those inserts. I usually clip 2 of the sets and keep the other set in my binder. If there are coupons in the inserts that I am sure I'll use, I go ahead and clip them.

Coupons that haven't been clipped yet - I try to clip on Sunday evenings, but if it doesn't happen I'll stick them in my binder to do later in the week.

So there you have it. The organization method I prefer. How about you...do you have a method that works great for you that you'd like to share with others? If so, just leave it in the comments section! :)
